Eagle Scout Builds Outdoor Classroom

Christ the King student and Eagle Scout, Lucas San Miguel, makes St. Peter Claver's goal of an outdoor classroom a reality! With the help of several volunteers, Lucas installed a beautiful classroom equipped with benches and a podium for the students grades Pre-K through 8th grade to use.

Holy Doors of St. Peter Claver

In preparation for the 2015 Catholic Schools Week event, St. Peter Claver’s Principal, Susanne Greenwood, thought it would be a good idea to hold a school-wide ‘Holy Doors’ contest centered on the theme Faith, Knowledge and Service. “It was definitely the idea for the activity that came first and the "naming" that followed. Creating and crafting a door design was a good class collaborative project that allowed for some friendly competition during Catholic Schools Week but got students thinking about all the enriching benefits of attending a Catholic school - not to mention the project also tapped curriculum standards”, she explained.

Multicultural Day at SPC

St. Peter Claver students, faculty and family gathered with Bishop Luis Zarama to celebrate a multicultural Mass and culinary experience. Students were encouraged to dress in clothing reflective of their ancestry and bring in dishes to share with one another. This will certainly be an annual event!

Archbishop Gregory Blesses Playground

On Earth Day, Archbishop Gregory visited with the students, families and friends of St. Peter Claver to bless the installation of the new playground! On this glorious day, the sun was shining bright and the childrens' faces were even brighter. Archbishop Gregory also celebrated the annual Timothy Williamson Memorial Mass, which honors the legacy of Timothy Williamson, a faithful servant of God and firm believer in Catholic education.
